Pia Nemec is a young designer & maker with a passion for home interiors, furniture and decor.
Pia has a modernist approach to designing furniture, with simplicity in mind. She aims to create works that set a minimal style for contemporary living.
Her current work extends faceted geometric forms into functional domestic furniture and objects. Her series, Faceted 2015, blurs the lines between digital fabrication and the handmade, incorporating the two ways of making to create furniture which speaks of technical calculations as well as precise hand work. Her works are built to hide the internal complexity of the compound angles within the minimal outer form.
